Spook-tacular Halloween event for local communities

Pumpkin LargeForestry Commission Scotland is inviting local children and families to come along and enjoy a spooky and exciting Halloween evening in Larbert Woodlands on Wednesday 31st October.

Part of FCS's partnership with NHS Forth Valley to encourage the use of the woodland around Forth Valley Royal Hospital, the event will run from 6pm.

The evening event, which costs only £1 for children and is free for accompanying adults, will include a spooky guided walk through the woodlands along with a story teller, bobbing for apples, treats for all children who turn up in fancy dress and many other spooky surprises on the way round.

Gordon Harper, woodland ranger for Forestry Commission Scotland commented: "This event is a brilliant way to get outdoors and enjoy one of the most exciting evenings of the year for children.

"Kids love getting dressed up and running around on Halloween and the woodland is a perfect environment to do it in with other families."

There is no need to pre-book for this event, just turn up at 6pm meeting at the Bungalows Entrance to the grounds, off Stirling Road.

This event is part of a the wider project run by Forestry Commission Scotland to get more people outdoors and involved in enjoying the woodlands.
