Families bereaved by suicide are being invited to a service of remembrance in the Spiritual Care Centre at Forth Valley Royal Hospital. This is the third year the service has been arranged by the NHS Forth Valley Spiritual Care Team, and follows a request from an NHS Forth Valley staff member who lost a loved one through suicide.
The service will offer a gentle atmosphere where people bereaved by suicide will be able to be with others who understand. There will be music, words and quietness.
NHS Forth Valley Head of Spiritual care, Margery Collin said: “Some people think we are here to push religion on people but nothing could be further from the truth. We are here to help people find the inner spiritual strength which they need for the challenges life throws at them. I am delighted that as a Spiritual care Team we have been able to respond to a request for this service.”
