Two more Forth Valley test results have returned negative. However three possible cases have been identified and one individual has been retested and is being treated as a probable case.
NHS Forth Valley Medical Director Gareth Davies said: "We continue to monitor all close contacts of the Askhams and are being very rigorous. The probable case had originally tested negative but continued to feel unwell and because of this a decision was taken to retest.
"The retest has returned a positive result for influenza A, but not the full strain of the virus. More detailed testing is being carried out as consequence.
"Close contacts of this individual are being monitored and offered antivirals where appropriate.
"I'd like to stress this is not a confirmed case but obviously we have to take every precaution.
"Symptoms of swine flu in humans are usually similar to regular human seasonal flu systems. Our advice to the public is to watch out for fever, respiratory systems such as cough or runny nose, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills, fatigue, vomiting or diarrhoea. If anyone shows these following symptoms they should contact NHS 24 immediately on 08454 24 24 24.
"We continue to work closely with our partner agencies within the region. The Central Scotland Strategic Co-ordinating Group has been activated so that the various partner bodies in the area - local authorities, police, fire, ambulance and other services - can provide an effective response to the current swine flu situation."
