Forth Valley Pharmacies

"Community Pharmacies are well placed to support smoking cessation as they are based in the heart of the community, have easy access for local people, and many offer extended opening hours. Pharmacists work to promote, maintain and improve health, and can offer individually tailored advice to support smokers trying to quit. There is robust evidence to support the clinical and cost-effectiveness of pharmacy based smoking cessation schemes including the provision of nicotine replacement therapy.

This service offers support to any smoker motivated to quit.

Why not visit your local pharmacy for information on the service? You will find many pharmacies will be promoting No Smoking Day events, and displays. For example in Callander, the local pharmacies are participating in the local High School Event, offering details of the pharmacy service, information on NRT products, offering to smokelyse individuals if they wish, and giving motivational advice to help stop smoking."
