Guide to Weaning Resource This is a portable teaching resource for staff involved in educating and supporting parent/carers who are looking for information on how to wean their baby. It is an A4 table top flipchart which uses photographs to illustrate and explain weaning. The resource provides information on when and how to start to wean and explains the different stages of weaning. It promotes a variety of suitable food as well as information on how to achieve the appropriate texture for baby. Also, 'A Guide to Weaning' promotes a balanced diet for the whole family and encourages family meal time. A Guide to Weaning is divided into 6 easy to handle sections and although it can be used in section sequence it is up to staff how they use the resource. It can be used with small groups or individual parents/carers. |
