FV Community Dietitians
| Our Role The following documents give direction to our work: Eating for Health - A Diet Action Plan for Scotland - July 1996
|
| Community Development Community Dietitians work with local communities to develop activities appropriate to their needs which take account of the social aspects of food and allows people to become active in identifying food and health issues important to them. Community Dietitians can work in partnership with community groups, network with other agencies and support other workers on food and health issues. | |
| Early Years Community Dietitians provide information and support to staff and parents who work in an early years environment. We work closely with Children's services and education departments as well as Local Childcare Partnership members. | |
| Primary Care Community Dietitians work with all members of the Primary Health Care Team to further enable them to promote good nutrition. | |
| Food in Schools Community Dietitians support the whole school approach to health, and are concerned with all food and drink provided in schools. We work with children's services, education departments, catering services, schools, NHS primary care colleagues, and parents. | |
| Workplace Community dietitians support and encourage workplaces and their caterers to adopt a 'whole workplace' approach to healthier eating. |
