Positive Approaches to Health in Forth Valley

The Scottish Executive has set the target that every educational establishment should be a Health Promoting School by the end of 2007. In order to meet this target the three Forth Valley local authorities (Clackmannshire, Falkirk and Stirling) in partnership with NHS Forth Valley, have developed a Forth Valley Accreditation Scheme: 'Positive Approaches to Health in Forth Valley'. It is intended that all educational establishments will have achieved level 1 of accreditation by December 2007. 'Positive Approaches to Health in Forth Valley' is based on the requirements of the National Framework for Accreditation. It is based on self evaluation and quality assured by multi-agency groups. Educational establishments will self evaluate using the tool:
