Maps are a useful way of visualising patterns of morbidity across areas.
The following maps show standardised morbidity ratios (SMRs) for various common causes of admission to hospital by community area. An SMR of greater than 100 tells us that the community in question has a higher rate of discharge for that particular cause than would have been expected if Scottish rates (age-standardised) had applied to the community's population.
Please note that the SMRs are based on persons of all ages and not only those under 75 years.
