Mental Health Resource Centre

Mental Health FacilityThe new Mental Health Resource Centre provides a range of services and treatment for people with mental health problems who are aged between 19 and 64.

The Resource Centre accommodates the community mental health and day provision teams, who offer specialised assessment and support for people with severe or complex mental health issues. The Resource Centre is part of the Clackmannanshire Integrated Mental Health Service and therefore works in partnership with Clackmannanshire Social Work.

Inpatient Beds

The new centre has 45 inpatient beds. These are used primarily for older people following treatment in an acute hospital.

The key focus is:

  • To get patients back home after a serious illness, or an incident such as a hip fracture or fall. A specialised multidisciplinary team will work towards this.
  • Patients who need palliative care will be looked after mainly in single rooms, by highly skilled staff. They can be referred from either an acute hospital setting or the community.
  • Some long-term continuing care will be provided for people with complex, medical, physical or mental health needs. Close working with local authority partners will ensure regular reviews of individual patients to ensure they receive care in the most appropriate setting.

Day Therapy Unit

Day Therapy UnitCloser to home, a multi-disciplinary team from older people's mental health, elderly and adult rehabilitation services work together to provide assessment and treatment services, such as falls rehabilitation classes and patient and carer groups.
