Childrens Audiology

Most of our children are seen by appointment at our custom built Audiology Department within the Forth Valley Sensory Centre, Camelon.

Camelon test room

Here we offer a wide range of tests for children and babies from birth, without the pressures of the typical hospital waiting room environment. Please see our audiology tests page for more information on individual tests. Here, you will also find links to video clips showing some of our tests being carried out.

The children can be having so much fun, they have no idea that they are also having their hearing tested. We pride ourselves when the children have enjoyed themselves so much that they don't want to go home.

Forth Valley Audiology staff drawn by the children of Windsor Park School

A Staff Grade Community Paediatrician, Dr Alison Schulga, is often present at assessment and review appointments. She is involved in the medical aspects of the care for hearing impairment children.
We also work closely with other professionals. Often a speech and language therapist or a peripatetic teacher from Windsor Park School may provide valuable support at a hearing impaired childs audiology appointment.
They are all valuable members of our team.
