Women & Childrens Services

Services

Women and Children Services will provide care for women and children, in a safe and effective way, which avoids where possible unnecessary hospital visits and admissions. These services include:

Obstetrics

Inpatient ante-natal and post-natal services along with Obstetric Triage are centralised on the Stirling site. Outpatient services which includes daycare , early pregnancy assessment service and obstetric outpatient clinics are available on both the Stirling and Falkirk sites.

Gynaecology

The Gynaecology surgical inpatient service operates over two sites with day cases being undertaken on the Falkirk Royal Infirmary site and longer stays being accommodated on the Stirling Royal Infirmary site.

The outpatient services, consisting of general gynaecology, gynoncology, uro/gynaecology, colposcopy, smear and post menopausal bleed clinics, are available at both the Falkirk and Stirling sites. The Sub fertility Service is based in Falkirk.

Paediatrics

The Inpatient, Paediatric Ambulatory service and Community Child Health Department are based at Stirling Royal Infirmary. Outpatient clinics are held on both the Falkirk and Stirling sites.

Neonatal

The Neonatal service which includes Neo-natal Intensive Care and Special Baby Care, is based at Stirling Royal Infirmary.
