Location
Main outpatient service (services for those not requiring an overnight stay in hospital) is in both Falkirk District Royal Infirmary and Stirling Royal Infirmary. The service also holds a clinic in Alloa Health Centre.

Services
Ear, nose and throat and head and neck surgery is provided by four Consultants who have special interests within the speciality. A pre-registration house officer assists in ward work and the outpatient service is supported by a Staff Grade doctor, a General Practitioner with Special Interest in ENT, and nursing staff .
Head and neck cancer services are delivered by a team of specialists including speech therapists, physiotherapists and dieticians . The care is shared with Lanarkshire, Beatson Oncology Centre in Glasgow, and oral maxillo-facial surgery.
All the consultants in Forth Valley perform all common procedures in the management of ear, nose and throat problems. The only exception is in young children who require infrequently performed operations that are best done in children's hospital.

General ear, nose and throat clinics including individual consultant's special interest
Rapid access sinus clinic where all your tests and investigations are carried out, and you leave with a treatment plan
ENT nurse led clinic - carries out such as syringe, suction clearance of ears, ear dressing

GP Referral Guidelines
GP referrals should be sent via the SCI gateway system or addressed to the appropriate medical records department. If you suspect head and neck cancer then the Head and Neck proforma should be completed.
