Services

Forth Valley Advocacy offers information, choice, support and representation to individuals with mental health problems and to older people as well as to their families and carers.  The service ensures that the individual's views and opinions are heard and respected by professionals, helps to encourage self-determination and allows people to have influence over decisions that affect their lives.  The NHS Forth Valley policy on confidentiality is adhered to.  The service also recruits and trains volunteer advocates who are then matched with people in continuing care who do not have regular visits from family and friends or who need extra support.  There are other volunteering opportunities.
