In the event of an emergency please dial 999.
If you need medical attention during daytime working hours, you should contact your GP surgery in the first instance.
If you or someone you care for is unwell and you feel that it can't wait until your GP surgery re-opens then you can call
www.nhs24.com on 08454 24 24 24, who will give you advice or refer you to a healthcare professional.
The services offered by NHS 24 include:
- Self care advice being provided by a Nurse Advisor
- An appointment to visit the nearest Primary Care (Out-of-Hours) Centre - see Information on Primary Care (Out-of-Hours) Centres
- An agreement that a Doctor will visit the patient at home

- We will send a '999' ambulance, with paramedic, while giving supportive advice and help over the phone.

Details about any consultation you have with www.nhs24.com or the NHS Forth Valley Out-of-Hours Service are sent to your own practice when it opens, to ensure that your own GP is aware that you required assistance. Your Practice may arrange to follow this contact up with you if that is appropriate.
Emergency dental treatment
Emergency Dental Advice is also available in Forth Valley for unregistered patients during daytime working hours. The Advice Line number is 0844 800 6886.
If you are registered with a dentist you should contact your own dentist in the first instance.
