 The National No Smoking Day Challenge 2008

Give up for a week

The National No smoking Day message is clear about the difficulty in giving up and has responded by setting a challenge to smokers to quit for a week.

To help you do this there is a wide range of stop smoking services available throughout Forth Valley.This web page / site will provide you with information about these and the people who run them.

Quit Tips
  • Plan a quite date.
  • Think about the reasons for stopping and list these.
  • Let family and friends know that you are stopping and ask for their support by not offering you a cigarette.
  • Stop with a friend or colleague for support.
  • Change your routine go for walks or find something to do when you get cravings.
  • Have rewards with money you would have spent on cigarettes.

The Quit Programme in the workplace: Stop smoking courses are currently offered to workplaces within the Forth Valley.They provide a convenient location for employees and supportive quit groups.
