Are you interested in the future shape of health services for the City of Stirling? Want to know more about plans to create two healthcare centres at the Stirling Royal Infirmary and the Orchard House sites?

NHS Forth Valley is holding a public meeting at Stirling Royal on 29 April at 6.30 pm to discuss proposals to modernise health services for the area, including improving GP facilities.

The plan is to build a facility for three practices - Viewfield, Parkview and Park Terrace - on the Stirling Royal site. This will run in tandem with the new community hospital, which will have for example outpatient, older people's, child health, rehabilitation and other services.

The health board also wants a wider range of services close to people in the north of Stirling, and is planning a modern centre on the Orchard House site. This would include two practices - Allan Park and Orchard House, and also a wide range of other community health services.

Eddie MacDonald, Primary Care General Manager, said:

"We want the best possible healthcare services, as close to people's homes as we can. The existing premises are cramped and sometimes do not meet access requirements. From modern, larger premises, we can offer a wider range of services such as community nurses, physiotherapists and podiatrists in the same locations.

"We want people to come along on the 29th so we can hear their views and help us develop better local services
