Clackmannanshire Community Centre manager collects top award at Scottish Health Award 2009
A general manager from Clackmannanshire Community Centre is recognised for her hard work and dedication as she picked up a high-profile honour at the Scottish Health Awards 2009 last night (Wednesday 11 November).
Kathy O'Neil collected the coveted Top Manager Award at the exclusive ceremony held in the Edinburgh Corn Exchange after she was nominated by colleagues to commend her successes in driving forward patient care in the Forth Valley.
Described by staff at Clackmannanshire Community Centre as an 'outstanding leader,' Kathy is supportive and inspiring.She has encouraged her staff to cultivate innovate ways of working which has led to the development of integrated community mental health services and the commissioning of a new state of the art community healthcare facility in Clackmannanshire.Kathy has also supported the creation of new roles for nurses in schools and the community hospital.
Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon said:
