Accessibility
This site has been designed to the 'AAA' standard for special needs accessibility. A number of accessibility features have been included as part of this website:
- access keys
- allowing text sizes and colours to be changed to suit users' needs
- advice on browser accessibility options
- alternative text descriptions for images
- Sign language videos providing information or those with hearing difficulties, including how to access sign language translation
Access Keys
This website uses Access Keys to provide quick access to the key areas of the site using a keyboard. A complete list of access keys available has been provided below. To use these keys:
1. hold down the "alt" key
2. press the required access key
3. press return or enter (for 'Search', enter the search word or words first)

Altering text size and background colour
Every page on the site has a facility to increase or decrease the text size by clicking the plus (+) or minus (-) button for 'text size'. This can be used in conjunction with the built-in facility for changing text size, found in most web browsers. To use the built-in facility, you should typically:
- Select 'View' from the menu at the top of your window
- From the options which appear, select 'Text size'
- Increase or decrease the text size
Every page on this site also has the facility to change the background colour. This cannot be used in conjunction with the built-in facility found in most web browsers.
Disability service
The NHS Forth Valley Disability Service provides a range of service and advice to help those with special needs.
Interpreting services
Interpreting Services are available for a number of non-English languages and for British Sign Language, that will provide a translation of any page of this website.
