Ms Margaret Duffy was appointed as Chief Operating Officer of NHS Forth Valley in May 2006.She was previously appointed as Chief Executive of NHS Forth Valley Acute Operating Division from April 2004 to May 2006 and Chief Executive of Forth Valley Acute Hospitals NHS Trust from January 2003 to March 2004. This followed a period as Interim Chief Executive from February 2002.
Ms Duffy returned to Forth Valley in 2002 following a three year period at Lothian University Hospitals NHS Trust, firstly as Director of Finance and Performance Review, and latterly as Executive Director where she was responsible for all surgical services including transplantation and cancer care.
Prior to going to Lothian, Ms Duffy held the post of Chief Executive of Falkirk & District Royal Infirmary NHS Trust, from 1997 – 1999.
