Improving health requires partnership working. In addition to the NHS and Councils (forming part of the public sector), partners may include businesses (private sector) and not-for profit organisations (the third sector). A further stakeholder is the community of interest itself, and often the third sector forms a means of engagement for individual and communities.Within each council area there is the development of the 'third sector interface', which is designed to facilitate partnership working.
