Services
Membership is free to all NHS Forth Valley staff. Once registered, you will be issued with a shelcat library card.
Borrowing
Items can be borrowed from both Stirling Royal Infirmary and Forth Valley Royal Hospital by all NHS Forth Valley staff.
To borrow an item, go to Shelcat website, log in using your Shelcat library card and use the Self-Issue function. You can renew items by logging into your Shelcat account or by contacting library staff.
Inter-library Loans
Items not held by Forth Valley NHS can normally be requested from another source. Log onto Shelcat to browse the library catalogue for all participating NHS libraries. If you wish to borrow an item held by another library, you can make the request directly from your shelcat account or alternatively email library staff with your request.
Journals
Current journals and archived material are available for reference only and should not be removed from the library. You can request journal articles not held in the library collection either via your Shelcat account or by emailing library staff directly. Please check first that the item you are looking for is not available on Knowledge Network
