The speech and language department has its headquarters at Stirling Community Hospital, and also has bases at Euro House, Falkirk Community Hospital and Clackmannanshire Community Healthcare Centre.
Speech and Language Therapy provides assessment, diagnosis and as necessary direct and/or indirect intervention for disorders of communication and/or eating and drinking disorders. These services are provided to people of all ages and are delivered in a wide range of locations including hospital in and out-patients, health centres, clinics, schools and homes.

An open referral system operates. Referrals are received from health care professionals, education staff, social services, parents and carers. These should include the name of the patient / client, date of birth, address, GP, and reason for referral. The consent of the client or parent / guardian is also required. Referrals are prioritised according to need, and appointments allocated as soon as possible.

Clinic hours are normally 9.00am - 5.00pm Monday to Fri. Clinical sessions are organised in Health Centres and Clinics across the area. Days and times vary according to the demands on the service and availability of suitable accommodation.
