Main outpatient service (services for those not requiring an overnight stay in hospital) is in both Falkirk Community Hospital and Stirling Community Hospital.
Ear, nose and throat and head and neck surgery is provided by four Consultants who have special interests within the speciality. A pre-registration house officer assists in ward work and the outpatient service is supported by a Staff Grade doctor, a General Practitioner with Special Interest in ENT, and nursing staff .
Head and neck cancer services are delivered by a team of specialists including speech therapists, physiotherapists and dieticians . The care is shared with Lanarkshire, Beatson Oncology Centre in Glasgow.
All the consultants in Forth Valley perform all common procedures in the management of ear, nose and throat problems. The only exception is in young children who require infrequently performed operations that are best done in children's hospital.
