The Children's diabetes team holds clinics in both Stirling Community Hospital and Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
There are also Young Person's clinics held regularly for children from the age of 12 upwards. These are held together with the adult diabetes specialist (Dr John Doig (Forth Valley Royal) and Dr Chris Kelly (Stirling) and our team of Paediatric and Adult Diabetes Nurse Specialists.
At each clinic, there are regular chiropody (or podiatry, as it's now known) sessions, dietetic sessions and access to clinical psychologists.
We are currently in the process of trying to improve services for families in Forth Valley, to provide even better support for them and in accordance with national guidelines for children's diabetes care.
