Improving Patient Care and Experience has been established within NHS Forth Valley since 2004. The Improving Patient Care and Experience Development groups are chaired by Professor Angela Wallce, Director of Nursing.
This group ensures that patient's experience of the NHS is gathered using a number of methodologies. It facilitates the development and implementation of an action plan based on what patients have told us.
The Patient Experience Programme is supported by our Patient Public Panel members who contibute to Improving Patient Care and Experience through a subgroup. This group meets every six weeks and supports a number of strands of work.
A number of ways are used to gain the patient experence, we use questionnaires, focus groups, patient interviews which we call Discovery Stories, Digital Stories, letters you send in, and suggestion boards.
