Renal UnitThe renal unit at Forth Valley Royal Hospital is making a big difference to the lives of kidney patients in Forth Valley. All patients with routine outpatient appointments or new referrals are being seen locally rather than having to travel to Glasgow. The number of nurse-led dialysis treatments is set to increase by around 200 sessions a month bringing the total to 1400. We currently can treat 114 patients and are planning to raise this number to 130.

When your treatment begins you will be provided with a swipe card which will hold all your dialysis and prescription details. During your stay you can access your own blood results and track your progress using the new national system renalpatientview.org which will store your treatment data.you can also find a vast database of information on Renal treatment on the Renal Patient View site without a login.
