The Endoscopy Department offers a complete range of high quality diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic services performed by a team of clinicians from a number of key areas including surgery, urology, gastro-intestinal and respiratory medicine. Working alongside the clinicians are four highly skilled non-medical Endoscopists.

During the past two years the Department has successfully introduced the Government Bowel Screening initiative for the over 50's and developed a colorectal ultrasound service with the support of one of our leading colorectal surgeons. Respiratory medicine has also seen developments over the past year with the introduction of a bronchoscopic ultrasound service.

The Endoscopy Department is home to four procedure rooms, one of which includes an X-ray imaging facility and four corresponding recovery areas. The Department is working towards national accreditation (JAG) and is fortunate to have a new and modern facility comprising the latest technology and decontamination equipment to serve the future endoscopic needs of all Forth Valley Royal patients.
