The new hospital is set in stunning surroundings with mature woodland, ponds, landscaped courtyards and a visitor garden. It also offers the best hospital views in the country with spectacular outlooks across to the Forth Bridges, the Lomond Hills and the Ochils.

As exciting new partnership with Forestry Commission Scotland and Central Scotland Forest Trust will see new tree planting, existing paths upgraded, the creation of new paths and cycle tracks and the appointment of a community ranger. Wildlife will also benefit including brown long-eared bats and common toads.

Studies have shown that having a good view from a hospital window can not only help a patient's recovery, but result in patients using fewer painkillers. Other research has revealed that even five minutes of 'green exercise' can have a positive impact on mental health.
