Lake on the hospital groundsThe new hospital is set in stunning surroundings with mature woodland, ponds, landscaped courtyards and a visitor garden. It also offers the best hospital views in the country with spectacular outlooks across to the Forth Bridges, the Lomond Hills and the Ochils.

As exciting new partnership with Forestry Commission Scotland will see new tree planting, existing paths upgraded, cycle tracks, and the appointment of a community ranger. The provision of bat boxes is part of our commitment to protect wildlife including brown long-eared bats and common toads.

View from the hospitalStudies have shown that having a good view from a hospital window can not only help a patient's recovery, but result in patients using fewer painkillers. Other research has revealed that even five minutes of 'green exercise' can have a positive impact on mental health.
