Training Programme

We are also committed to encouraging all employees to understand and celebrate diversity in all its forms.

It is important that all staff receives equality and diversity training throughout the organisation and that this is also embedded into the work that we do. As reflected within Knowledge Skills Framework (KSF) levels for Core Dimension 6, Equality and Diversity training, helps staff to meet their career and personal development requirements, as well as improve behavioral and communication issues with patients, colleagues and general public.

Equality and Diversity is a core component of both staff Induction and Mandatory Training.

Equality Impact Assessment training is also provided to staff on a monthly basis, with colleagues from other public bodies and voluntary sector often in attendance.

Ensuring Equality of Access to NHS Forth Valley Staff Training

To ensure equality of access to learning, education and training within NHSFV, the attached document has been developed as a 'best practice guide', to ensure that all NHS Forth Valley trainers as well as external trainers/presenters understand and meet the needs of their respective audiences. This list is not exhaustive. As with all best practices people's needs should be met on an individual basis.
