The Equality & Diversity Champions initiative was developed by the Scottish Executive with the aim of having Equality & Diversity Champions at all levels of the organisation to promote equality and diversity, challenge negative behaviours, reinforce positive attitudes and address issues relating to Equality & Diversity as they arise.
The role of Equality and Diversity Champions is part of existing roles within the organisation and training is given to all Equality & Diversity Champions to ensure that they are equipped to take on the role.
