Partners and Friends

Forth Valley Giving recognises that successful fundraising is dependent upon the help of others. We currently have six different categories of fundraising partners who help us meet our fundraising objectives:

• NHS Staff
• Private Sector
• Public Sector
• Voluntary Sector
• The Wider Forth Valley Community
• Aligned Groups

NHS Staff

NHS staff Patients all contribute to fundraising on behalf of Wards, Departments and services. Forth Valley Giving can help assess ideas, plan/deliver events and ensure that they are well publicised.

Private Sector

The private sector has the potential to play a major part in NHS Forth Valley fundraising. This can include corporate sponsorship, company donations, employee donations (including payroll giving), workforce challenges etc. The Fundraising Manager is available to provide information and advice to any private sector organisation wishing to become a fundraising partner.

Public Sector

Our public sector partners can work with us on joint fundraising initiatives or undertake workplace fundraising on their own.

Voluntary Sector

The voluntary sector already has significant expertise in fundraising and Forth Valley Giving is keen to work in partnership with groups on joint fundraising activities. Larger organisations can also facilitate payroll giving and hold work-based sponsored events in support of Forth Valley Giving. There are resources available for download to assist with this.

The Wider Forth Valley Community

Individual and community fundraising is often undertaken by someone who has had a positive healthcare experience, however, anyone can do it and Forth Valley Giving is there to support you. The most common forms of fundraising undertaken by individuals and communities are raffles, quiz nights, sponsored walks, party collections etc. We have resources which we can provide you with to make the planning and delivery of such events easier and assist you in publicising them.

Aligned Groups

Aligned groups are those groups who undertake fundraising for the benefit of NHS Forth Valley patients but are completely independent. This includes:

• Society of Friends Of Stirling Community Hospital
• Friends of the Inpatients Of Clackmannanshire Community Healthcare Centre
• Friends of Bannockburn Hospital
• Friends of Forth Valley Royal Hospital

Each of these groups manage their own affairs and raise and distribute funds independently of NHS Forth Valley. If you are interested in participating in any of the Friends groups please contact Forth Valley Giving on 01324 678 547.
