About Us

Forth Valley Giving is the operating name of the NHS Forth Valley Endowments Funds. 

Forth Valley Giving exists in order to secure donations for charitable services, activities and amenities which complement the work of NHS Forth Valley and enrich the patient experience. 

All donations are held separately from the money used to provide day to day NHS services and are spent in accordance with the wishes of donors. 

There are currently more than 300 different endowment funds which fall within one of the following categories: 

• Mental Health
• Learning Disabilities
• Elderly
• Women & Children
• Surgical
• Medical
• Intermediate Care
• Clinical Services
• Clinical Facilities
• General

Our vision is to be an organisation which develops and delivers a bold, innovative and inspiring programme of fundraising  which compliments the work of NHS Forth Valley and enriches the patient experience.

Mission

Our mission is to generate sufficient charitable income to secure a wide range of services, activities and amenities through a partnership approach.

Our long term goals:

• Become one of the leading charities in the Forth Valley area.
• Secure a substantial proportion of public giving in the Forth Valley area.
• To be the charity of choice for community based fundraising.
• To become a major grant provider to groups working to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities.

Our short term goals:

• Increase the profile of the charity.
• Increase the level of donations.
• Increase the level of fundraising activity.
• Position Forth Valley Giving as a key player in the charitable sector.
• Embed fundraising within NHS Forth Valley.
• Adopt a business approach to fundraising.
• Anticipate future developments. 

Forth Valley Giving is managed by the Fundraising Manager Craig Holden. 

Craig reports to the NHS Forth Valley Charitable Development Group whose job it is to support, lead and oversee the implementation of the Fundraising Strategy.
