NHS Forth Valley is governed by a Board of Directors and is accountable to the Minister for Health and Community Care through the Scottish Executive Health Department. The Board controls an annual budget of £421 million, and is responsible for providing health services and improving the health for the population of Forth Valley.NHS Forth Valley is a single integrated system comprising acute hospital services, and community based services which are delivered through three Community Health Partnerships in Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling.
NHS Forth Valley employs around 8000 staff from a wide range of professional and support occupations in two acute hospitals, six community hospitals and 56 health centres.
Forth Valley has a population of nearly 300,000 and covers a geographic area from Killin and Tyndrum in the North and Strathblane and Bo'ness in the South.
